Spain Offers Transport Aircraft to Bangladesh Air Force, Signals Support for Eurofighter Programme

Mr. Gabriel Sistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, NDC, PSC, at Air Headquarters on Wednesday 12 November 2025. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen bilateral military and strategic cooperation. Mr. Rafael Gomez Noya, Airbus Chief Representative in Bangladesh, was also present, highlighting the growing defence-industrial dimension of the relationship. Spain’s Offer of Transport Aircraft and Defence Cooperation During the discussions, Spain conveyed its readiness to support the modernisation efforts of the Bangladesh Air Force, including an offer of military transport aircraft. This development comes at a time when the Bangladesh Air Force is actively seeking to expand its tactical
