Bangladesh Army Aviation Group

Reading Time: 3 minutes The Bangladesh Army Aviation Group (AAG) serves as the aerial component of the Bangladesh Army, providing critical support in mobility, reconnaissance, fire support, and humanitarian operations. As part of Forces Goal 2030, the AAG has been modernised with a diverse fleet, advanced training, and strategic infrastructure to meet evolving operational needs. The Bangladesh government has approved a comprehensive restructuring plan for the Army Aviation Group, which will be formally renamed Army Aviation. There are 704 personnel serving in Army Aviation, excluding 490 personnel working at the Army Aviation Workshop. An Army Aviation Directorate is also being formed.
