Bangladesh Air Force Radar Network Extends Deep into Indian Airspace
Reading Time: 3 minutes The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has achieved a significant milestone in its air surveillance and early warning capabilities, with its radar coverage now extending deep into eastern and central India. According to geographical analysis and satellite mapping, major Indian cities — including Kolkata, Guwahati, Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, and Varanasi — fall well within the effective monitoring radius of BAF’s long-range radar systems. This extensive radar network allows Bangladesh to observe air activities across a wide swathe of the eastern Indian subcontinent, stretching from Odisha in the south to Arunachal Pradesh in the north-east.
