Reading Time: 2 minutes The NORA B‑52K1 operated by the Bangladesh Army is expected to undergo a significant upgrade programme aimed at improving battlefield performance, automation and firepower. The upgrade will bring the systems closer to the latest configuration represented by the NORA‑B52 NG, the newest generation of the Serbian artillery platform. At present, the Bangladesh Army operates 36 firing units of the Nora B-52K1, forming one of the most powerful long-range artillery capabilities within its ground forces. Upgrading these systems will allow the army to substantially enhance their operational effectiveness without replacing the entire fleet. Manufactured by Serbia’s Yugoimport SDPR, the NORA-B52 NG represents the cutting edge of the Serbian defence industry’s artillery technology. It is a fully automated 155 mm self-propelled fire support system designed to deliver powerful, rapid and sudden strikes against tactically, operationally and strategically significant targets at long ranges.
