Italian Defence Giant Leonardo Seeks to Deepen Ties with Bangladesh Air Force

Reading Time: 3 minutes A high-level delegation from Italy’s leading defence and aerospace company Leonardo S.p.A., led by Senior Vice President Mr. Tomasso Pani, paid a courtesy call on Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc, Chief of Air Staff, Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), at the Air Headquarters on Tuesday (7 October 2025). The meeting was also attended by H.E. Antonio Alessandro, the Ambassador of Italy to Bangladesh. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on enhancing bilateral military cooperation, including technical assistance, defence technology transfer, and joint collaboration in advanced aerospace systems. The engagement reflects a growing interest from both Dhaka and Rome to strengthen their longstanding defence and industrial partnership.
