Airbus Eyes Long-Term Strategic Partnership with Bangladesh Defence and Aerospace Sector

Wouter van Wersch, Executive Vice-President International at Airbus, visited Dhaka in late November to meet key stakeholders, including Civil Aviation Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin and Md Shafiqur Rahman, Managing Director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, as well as European ambassadors and envoys from France, Spain, Germany, and the UK High Commission. While Airbus’s engagement with Biman has garnered significant attention, the company is keen to emphasise its broader ambitions in the defence and aerospace sector.
