Artillery Modernisation Report – Bangladesh Army (2025–2035)
Reading Time: 2 minutes ð Introduction To maintain credible deterrence and effective support for combined arms operations, the Bangladesh Army has initiated a comprehensive artillery modernisation programme. The focus is on firepower mobility, digital integration, precision strike capability, and domestic sustainability. The modernised artillery force is designed to support the Army’s evolving doctrine and regional security posture, particularly in scenarios involving rapid force projection or large-scale conflict. This plan equips each infantry division with a composite artillery brigade featuring towed, self-propelled, and rocket artillery systems, complemented by ISR support and counter-battery assets. The programme also establishes a strategic missile force at Army HQ level to deliver long-range strike capability. ð¡️ 1.
