Bangladesh Air Force Chief Meets Chinese Defence Officials to Discuss J-10CE and JF-17 Block III Deals

Reading Time: 3 minutes The Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, is on an official visit to China from October 23 to 25 at the invitation of the chairman of the China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC). During the visit, he held extensive discussions with senior CATIC officials, focusing on advancing two major fighter aircraft acquisition programmes — the Chengdu J-10CE and the JF-17 Thunder Block III — which are central to Bangladesh’s ongoing air force modernisation efforts. The visit follows earlier coordination in Dhaka, where officials from the Chinese embassy, led by Ambassador Li Wei and accompanied by the resident defence attaché, visited the Air Headquarters on September 2 to meet with Air Chief Marshal Khan.
