Bangladesh Shipping Corporation Expands Fleet with Two Modern Bulk Carriers

The decision was endorsed on Tuesday at the meeting of the Advisers’ Council Committee on Government Purchase, chaired by Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed at the Bangladesh Secretariat. The two new carriers, each with a capacity of 63,500 deadweight tonnes (DWT), will be supplied by New York-based Hellenic Dry Bulk Ventures LLC at a total cost of Tk 9.357 billion (US$76.698 million).
