Bangladesh Army Conducts Military Orientation Training for BCS and BJS Officers

Reading Time: 2 minutes The Bangladesh Army successfully conducted the 84th Military Orientation Training programme for officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) and the Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS). The six-week-long training was held from 3 August to 11 September 2025 with the objective of fostering stronger cooperation between the civil administration, judicial authorities, and the military during both wartime and peacetime. Since its inception in 1984, the programme has served as a bridge between civil and military institutions, aiming to familiarise BCS and BJS officers with the structure, traditions, functions, and capabilities of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. The training also introduces participants to the roles of various military institutions in safeguarding national interests and supporting state functions. This year’s course included 61 participants: 12 officers from the BCS Administration, 17 from the BCS Police, 3 from the BCS Ansar cadre, and 29 officers from the Bangladesh Judicial Service.
