Falco EVO Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

Reading Time: 2 minutes The Falco EVO is a tactical medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAV platform designed by Leonardo for multi-role ISR and light combat applications. A step forward from the original Falco, the EVO variant offers increased endurance, payload flexibility, and modern mission systems integration. Its modular design and adaptable airframe have made it a platform of choice for several armed forces looking to bridge the gap between traditional ISR drones and precision-strike UCAVs. In the Bangladesh context, the Falco EVO is not merely a surveillance tool. The Bangladesh Air Force has indigenously modified the platform, arming it with Roketsan’s 70mm Cirit laser-guided rockets. This transforms the airframe into a capable light strike platform for counterinsurgency, anti-armour, and anti-terror operations in tactical depth.
