Operated by the Army Aviation Group, it represents Bangladesh’s entry into the sphere of armed drone warfare and persistent aerial surveillance, forming a critical node in the national battlefield digitisation and network-centric warfare architecture. Operational Role in Bangladesh Army In Bangladesh Army service, the Bayraktar TB2 is used primarily for: Persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions over strategic border zones, particularly in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), the north-west, and south-east. Precision Strike roles using laser-guided munitions against high-value targets in a limited engagement framework. Real-time target acquisition and correction for artillery
