New Boat Workshop and Slipway Inaugurated at Coast Guard Base Mongla

Reading Time: < 1 minute On Saturday, 17 May 2025, the Bangladesh Coast Guard formally inaugurated a newly constructed boat workshop and slipway at Coast Guard Base Mongla, under the service’s West Zone. The ceremony was presided over by the Honourable Home Affairs Adviser, Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, ndc, psc (Retd). The event drew a wide array of distinguished guests, including Md Jasim Uddin Khan, Joint Secretary of the Public Security Division, Ministry of Home Affairs; Rear Admiral Md Ziaul Haque, Director General of the Bangladesh Coast Guard; Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh; alongside secretaries from various ministries, representatives of the Bangladesh Navy, Naval Police, Forest Department, and senior officials of Mongla Port Authority.
