Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan to Visit Türkiye for Strategic Defence Talks and Industrial Cooperation

Reading Time: 4 minutes From 1–5 October 2025, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), will embark on a high-level official visit to Türkiye. This marks his second visit to Türkiye in just two months, signalling Dhaka’s strategic intent to deepen defence cooperation with Ankara. The frequency and timing of the visits reflect a growing urgency in transforming defence dialogue into actionable outcomes, particularly in aerospace collaboration, joint production, training, and defence industrialisation. The context for this visit is grounded in an increasingly robust defence relationship between Bangladesh and Türkiye. In July 2025, the President of Türkiye’s Presidency of Defence Industries visited Dhaka and met with Bangladesh’s interim government leadership as well as the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
