Bangladesh Army to Receive Turkish Counter-Drone Systems to Strengthen Air Defence

Reading Time: 2 minutes The Bangladesh Army is set to enhance its air-defence network with the upcoming delivery of Turkish-made İLTER J350 Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), a modern suite designed to detect and neutralise hostile drones through advanced electronic warfare and radar technology. The acquisition is part of Bangladesh’s continuing drive under Forces Goal 2030 to modernise its defensive capabilities and prepare for emerging aerial threats. Expanding Counter-Drone Capabilities Developed by Boğaziçi Savunma Teknolojileri A.Ş. of Türkiye, the İLTER J350 is a medium-range counter-UAV system capable of identifying, tracking and electronically defeating small and medium-sized drones. The system integrates radio-frequency (RF) detection, three-dimensional pulse-Doppler radar, and electronic countermeasures, providing a layered response against both remotely piloted and autonomous platforms. According to manufacturer data, the J350 can detect drone control links across a frequency spectrum of 400 to 6000 MHz, using direction-finding algorithms to pinpoint the source of control or video
