Bangladesh Armed Forces and Qatar Armed Forces Sign Defence Agreement

Reading Time: 2 minutes In a landmark development, the long-awaited agreement on the deployment of personnel from the Bangladesh Armed Forces (BAF) to the Qatar Armed Forces (QAF) was officially signed today in Doha. The signing ceremony saw Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hasan, Principal Staff Officer of the Bangladesh Armed Forces Division, and Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jasim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, affix their signatures on the agreement. The event was also attended by His Excellency Mohammad Hazrat Ali Khan, Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Qatar, members of the delegation, and officials from the Embassy of Bangladesh. Scope and Significance of the Agreement Under the terms of the agreement, members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces will have the opportunity to serve in the Qatar Armed Forces.
