Establishing an Electronic Warfare Brigade in the Bangladesh Army: Strategic Imperatives and Organisational Framework

Reading Time: 4 minutes The April–May 2025 Indo-Pakistan conflict underscored the transformational role of Electronic Warfare (EW) in contemporary combat operations. The Pakistan Army’s successful deployment of integrated EW assets allowed it to disrupt the Indian Army’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, nullify technological advantages, and degrade operational tempo. For Bangladesh—bordered by both India and Myanmar—this experience serves as a critical point of reflection.
