Bangladesh Police Induct Turkish Khan 4×4 Armoured Personnel Carriers

Reading Time: < 1 minute Recent photographs taken in Dhaka show the Bangladesh Police operating newly delivered Khan 4×4 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) from Turkish manufacturer Katmerciler, marking the first public confirmation of the type in the country. The vehicles, spotted on city streets in late September, appear to match the Khan 4×4 Zırhlı Personel Taşıyıcı (ZPT) configuration seen in Katmerciler’s export portfolio. Turkish defence media previously reported the delivery of Khan APCs to Bangladesh, although no official announcement has been made by either side regarding the quantity or service branch. The Khan 4×4 is a compact, highly mobile armoured vehicle built on a modified Toyota Land Cruiser chassis. It features a monocoque armoured steel hull designed to protect against small-arms fire and fragments, with capacity for eight personnel including crew.
