The MT-LB is a fully amphibious tracked armoured personnel carrier developed in the 1970s by the erstwhile Soviet Union. The vehicle was designed utilising existing components such as truck engines and was meant for low cost mass production.
The crew, a driver and a commander/gunner sit in a compartment at the front of the vehicle, with the engine behind them.
