Statement of Resolve

The attack perpetrated against Bangladesh peacekeepers constitutes an unprovoked act of terrorism and a grave violation of international humanitarian law. Such actions stand in direct defiance of the principles of peacekeeping and the sanctity of those serving under the mandate of the international community.

Let it be stated with clarity and solemn authority: the Bangladesh Army does not forget its fallen, nor does it abandon justice. Accountability for this war crime shall be pursued through all lawful and appropriate means. Those responsible will be held to answer for their actions, in accordance with international law and the enduring resolve of the Bangladeshi nation.
