Developed to fill the role of a deployable, mobile firepower platform for difficult operational environments, the VT-5 combines firepower, protection, and speed in a compact and agile package. The Bangladesh Army formally inducted the VT-5 in 2023, making it the first foreign operator of this platform. It forms a key part of Bangladesh’s modernisation of its armoured forces, particularly for operations in the country’s eastern hill tracts and potential expeditionary or UN deployments.
