Reading Time: 4 minutes The Nora B-52K1 is a modular 155 mm self-propelled gun-howitzer that pairs high-volume, long-range fires with modern automation and networked fire control. Fielded by several export customers and offered in multiple configurations, the Nora is designed for rapid shoot-and-scoot employment and sustained operations in harsh climates and terrain. The Bangladesh Army operates Nora B-52K1 examples that have been upgraded for autonomous navigation and pointing and fitted with enhanced protection and electronic aids, giving its artillery formations a responsive and survivable long-range fires option. Design philosophy and mission Nora’s design emphasises modularity, automation and mobility. Built as a truck-mounted 155 mm gun-howitzer, the system is optimised to provide sudden, powerful and accurate fire support against tactically, operationally and strategically significant targets at extended ranges. A core aim of the design is to keep the crew protected within an NBC-hardened cabin while enabling full weapon operation from inside
