International MaxxPro Dash Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected Vehicle
Reading Time: 2 minutes The International MaxxPro Dash is a Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicle developed by Navistar Defence in collaboration with Plasan Sasa of Israel, which provides the v-hull mine-protected armour design. Originally fielded by the United States military during Operation Iraqi Freedom and the War in Afghanistan, the MaxxPro Dash variant was optimised for greater mobility and urban operations, retaining survivability against IEDs, landmines, and ambush threats. The Bangladesh Army inducted its first batch of MaxxPro Dash MRAPs in 2018, obtained from surplus US Army stocks under a security cooperation programme. As of 2025, the Bangladesh Army operates 141 units, while the Bangladesh Air Force maintains at least 7 for base security and perimeter defence.
