Bangladesh Air Force Modernisation Cost Analysis

Over the past few years, the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has moved decisively to upgrade its fleet, combining advanced Chinese aircraft, Western technology, and cost-effective multirole jets to create a balanced and capable force. This article examines the costs, distribution, and strategic implications of these acquisitions. The BAF modernisation programme currently encompasses three principal platforms: the Chengdu J-10CE, the Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3, and the JF-17 Block III.
