🔹 Corps-Level Structure, Purpose, and Support Assets
◼ I Corps (Western Command) – HQ: Bogura
Purpose: Defend the western and north-western borders with India, secure key urban centres and river crossings, launch counteroffensives into vulnerable border corridors.
Corps-Level Support Assets:
- Armoured Brigade: 93 Armoured Brigade (Bogura)
- Artillery Brigade: Corps Artillery Regiment (Bogura)
- Air Defence Unit: SHORAD detachments for division rear & key installations
- Engineer Regiment: Riverine bridging and demolitions, canal defense
- Signals Battalion: Redundant comms linking Rangpur–Bogura–Jashore
- Army Aviation Detachment: Forward resupply & MEDEVAC from Rajshahi FOB
◼ II Corps (Central-Eastern Command) – HQ: Sylhet
Purpose: Secure the northeastern sector, ensure rapid reinforcement to Dhaka and Brahmanbaria fronts, control major highways and logistical chokepoints.
Corps-Level Support Assets:
- Mechanized Brigade: 33 Mechanized Brigade (Cumilla)
- Artillery Brigade: Sylhet-based long-range fire support battalion
- Engineer Regiment: Minefields, obstacle denial along Mymensingh–Sylhet axis
- Air Defence Battery: Static ADA units around Dhaka corridor
- Signals Battalion: High-throughput data for HQ-Corps-Div linkages
- Aviation Detachment: Light rotor-wing support, helipad network along N1
◼ III Corps (Southeastern Command) – HQ: Chattogram
Purpose: Defend against incursions through the south-eastern hills and coastal areas, control the port of Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar, conduct mountain and littoral operations.
Corps-Level Support Assets:
- Mountain Artillery Battalion: Direct fire for 24 ID & CHT ops
- Engineer Riverine Battalion: Meghna river & canal bridging logistics
- Air Defence Battery: Point defence of port & HQ
- Signals Company: Deconfliction and terrain-integrated comms grid
- Aviation Detachment: Light transport & casualty evacuation for hilly terrain
