The Bangladesh Army capped off several large-scale tactical field training exercises involving multiple infantry divisions, the air force, and paramilitary forces to demonstrate its defence readiness.
Publicly disclosed information suggests exercises were held in Rajbari and Mymensingh, which lasted several weeks since commencement in December last year.
The exercises utilised units and formations from the 55 and 19 Infantry Divisions respectively, as well as fighter aircraft from the Bangladesh Air Force (such as F-7BG and MiG-29BM), besides Mi-171Sh armed helicopters, Bell 407GXi utility helicopters, TB2 MALE UAVs, Durjoy tanks, Metis-M1 ATGMs, and many other weapons and equipment typically used by the infantry divisions of the Bangladesh Army.
The Bangladesh Army is conducting these series of tactical exercises, while it is deployed in aid to the civil administration to support the interim government in Bangladesh.
